HONOLULU — A fishing boat ran aground near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu early Wednesday. The Coast Guard is investigating.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the 83-foot boat, called the Sea Goddess, ran aground about 150 yards from the airport.
The Coast Guard says six people were on board. There were no injuries, and no reports of released pollutants.
However, the Coast Guard says the incident was reported to state agencies for pollution and environmental assessments.
The Coast Guard says the incident occurred under clear skies, with four-foot seas and 15 mph winds.
